Dr. Maria Mody is a specialist in developmental cognitive neuroimaging at Massachussetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her work focuses on the neural underpinnings of language and communication, using words and pictures, in children with dyslexia, language impairments and more recently, autism. Dr. Mody uses a combination of EEG, MEG and fMRI to develop neurobiological markers that may have implications for improved interventions. She has presented her work nationally and internationally. Her current work looks at relative differences in language and visual processing across the autism spectrum, behaviorally and in the brain.
