RESIDENTIAL DEPARTMENT
- SPECIALTY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Specialty Services and Supports - A home designed exclusively for persons diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease enables people to be competently cared for through the end stages of a terminal illness. This home has nursing case management and consultation from clinicians associated with the National Alzheimer’s Association.

Deaf Services - Out nationally recognized home “Red House” set the standard for Housing Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons with Developmental Disabilities. A deaf environment is achieved by hiring qualified Deaf and Hearing professionals who are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) or Visual Gestural communication as well as the use of adaptive technology for the Deaf, such as TTY’s, visual and tactile fire systems, and Video Phone systems.

Intensive Medical Services - Persons with significant medical and physical care needs are supported in their communities. Barrier-free Housing designed with the latest environmental technology coupled with skilled direct care, physical therapist, occupational therapists and nursing case management ensure that people are healthy and active in their homes and communities.

Home of Ones Own Initiative - The agency sponsored and received grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide homes to low income persons with disabilities. By sponsoring a grant for a Creative Housing Project Group, we enabled these families to acquire the funding to purchase a single family home and three condominiums. Affordable long-term housing is achieved because the tenants each receive a Section 8 subsidy via this application.

Behavioral Day Supports - Residential Services also provide intensive day supports to individuals who choose not to or who are unable to participate in typical day services. Individual activities and community integration techniques are utilized in conjunction with intensive medical and behavioral guidelines and supports.
