RESIDENTIAL DEPARTMENT
SUPERVISED & SUPPORTED LIVING
Supervised Living - Over 40 people live in homes owned or leased by the North Shore ARC. We provide 24-hour a day, 7 days a week supports to facilitate the development of life skills, and self-confidence. Qualified and caring professionals ensure the individuals in the homes are diligently supervised.
Supported Living - Some 15 men and women with developmental disabilities are renting homes or leasing condominiums or apartments throughout the 19 communities comprising the North Shore. The individuals’ direct or participate in the selection, screening and evaluation of their staff. Everyone has demonstrated the necessary skills to live alone or to live without 24-hour staffing supports. Education and assistance is given to support people with paying bills, tenant/landlord issues, security entitlements and participation in various community events or workshops.
