SHARED LIVING
Shared Living is an individualized living arrangement in which children and adults who have developmental challenges can live in a family setting other than with their own biological families. Shared Living providers are carefully screened and trained men and women who have opened their open homes and lives to meet the varying needs of those with challenges. Through an intensive matching process, providers and individuals live together and build family or roommate relationships. Sometimes this relationship can be a stepping stone to another type of living situation, sometimes this arrangement is just what everyone wanted and endures for many years.
Our Family Support Shared Living Program provides support, training and assistance, not only to the men and women and families who have opened their homes to individuals with challenges, but to the biological families as well. The focus of our program is to provide safe, stable and secure homes that enable individuals to develop their skills, build supportive relationships, and become truly integrated members of their communities.

“Through the Shared Living Program, my daughter has gained a great extended family. I have gained valuable and caring friends. Together, the providers and I discuss things and work to keep my daughter happy and on the road to success.”
